With no moment wasted,
Rush people to their work,
Without giving any attention
To others,
Who laid around in misery.
The old beggar on the pavement,
Who cried out for your help,
Is cursed under your breath,
For wasting your time.
Is your time more essential
Than a human life?
A penny or two,
If can save a life,
Strife ahead, lend your hand,
Brighten a life.
You see a gloomy face,
Pass it by,
Not lending an instant
To consider, why is it sad?
A humble touch,
A humble smile,
Though costless,
Could change a life.

This poem is so very true.. it brings out the cruel nature of us humans, who are much too engrossed in ourselves to look around all the misery and pain that surrounds us..
Great poem, keep it up!
erm..actually tell u what??
i wrote it for my friend who had an english project to do .. she had to speak about the busy world .. so u can say it was spun up spontaneously !!
