Once again she was there.
Walking on that road,
The one they had walked together,
And now, she was left alone.
How could she forget that night,
The cold winter night?
When her heart was as cold as snow,
And he held her, just to keep her warm.
Or that autumn day?
When they sat together,
Looking over the dusty road and fallen leaves,
Exchanging philosophical notes.
Or the spring time?
When she had run through the fields,
Happier than the chirping birds,
Than the blooming flowers.
Or that rainy day?
When they held hands
And walked together,
Drenched in love.
May be seasons were all vague,
May be life's reasons were too unfair.
A soft breeze touched her,
Called out her name,
It softly kissed her,
Leaving her breathless again.
She reached out her hands,
To hold him near, to never let go.
But he was gone long,
He was gone forever.
She knelled down to his grave,
Begged him to come back,
His rose held so firm,
So firm that her hand bled numb.
But the pain was gone,
It was gone with him.
